Sonya Fry has retained a lawyer to fight against Indianhead Biomass for the sake of our communities. Please see the GoFundMe for more details.

Report a Violation

Every time you smell the odor, please report it to the FDEP Complaint Survey and select "Air Quality" and "Wastewater" from the options.

  • Submit multiple times a day if you smell it throughout the day (~1 hour apart)

  • Include precise location of the odor; include mentioning Indianhead Biomass

  • If not submitting right away, include the time when you smelled it

  • If not submitting on the same day, please include date and time

Also report to the FDEP if Indianhead Biomass is operating outside of their allowed hours or you see their gate open after hours. The hours of operation dates and times are listed below.

Report to FDEP
Report to the County

If you see or hear Indianhead operating outside of Monday to Friday 7 AM to 5 PM, see or hear them operating over the weekend, and/or you see their gates open from 5PM-7AM any day, please submit a PRIDE report. Make sure to select "Special Use Permit" from the drop-down list.

If you are able, please also take a timestamped picture. It is not required but it helps to have evidence.

Email the County Commissioners

If you have not done so, please email the County Commissioners to let them know how this situation has been impacting you. Their emails are as follows:

boccoffice@sjcfl.usbcc5ataylor@sjcfl.usbcc3cmurphy@sjcfl.usbcc4kjoseph@sjcfl.usbcc2sarnold@sjcfl.usbcc1cwhitehurst@sjcfl.us

Commissioner Ann Taylor has been working with us to see how we can find a solution to this situation. She has requested that people email her when Indianhead Biomass is working outside of their allowed operational hours and if they are leaving the gates open.
Her email is: ataylor@sjcfl.us

Report Health Concerns

If you are experiencing any symptoms that could be related to the inhalation of biosolids, please send the Department of Health an email detailing your concerns and experiences
SJCHD.EH@flhealth.gov

The FDEP and DOH are pointing people toward the other right now, so please do not be deterred by any messages that tell you to send to the opposite entity. Continue to submit reports regardless as it ensures a formal record of incidents and impacts is being documented.
